Run for Fun | Run for Life
At Runner2Runner, we introduce young athletes to the excitement of Cross Country and Track & Field in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where fun, growth, and community come first.
In 1998, Melissa Hill created a fun running program for her sons...
25 years later, Runner2Runner is still here. Over the years we have found that a positive introduction to running at an early age provides athletes a foundation to participate on their high school track or cross country teams, eventually run at the collegiate level, or the BEST outcome: continue the healthy habits and workouts they’ve learned for the rest of their lives.
A Program for Every Season.
We offer Cross Country and Track & Field programs all year round to keep young athletes active and engaged!
Fall: Cross Country season runs September through November.
Spring: Track and Field & Run, Jump, Throw runs March through May
Summer: Camps run between May and August
No matter the season, there’s always an opportunity to get moving and have fun!
We believe in…
-
Running forms the backbone of almost every sport. Whether it’s endurance in soccer or quick bursts of speed in ping pong, cardiovascular fitness from running enhances performance across the board. Even in sports like golf, where physical demands differ, the focus, discipline, and drive developed through running translate seamlessly.
Just ask any runner—what you gain from training extends far beyond sports; it equips you with skills for life.
-
Opportunities for young athletes to explore cross country and track and field outside of a competitive environment are rare—especially before high school. We believe in the transformative power of these sports, which is why our focus remains on providing dedicated programs that nurture a love for running and personal growth from an early age.
-
Research shows that over-specialization and focusing too much on practice rather than play before age 12 often leads to burnout, injury, and a lack of enthusiasm for sports. Allowing kids to enjoy themselves while they train makes a world of difference. We’ve seen that incorporating fun and games into our programs consistently creates a positive, inclusive environment where young athletes don’t just improve—they thrive.
“They have created an environment where athletes of all abilities feel welcome and feel appreciated. Not only do they always remind kids about being supportive to others and about teamwork & sportsmanship, but they definitely lead by example in every sense of the word...
I am truly grateful.”
